Report Previewer

FineLine Preview enables you to display reports on your screen on your Linux or SCO UNIX server.  Reports wider than your screen are supported.  Keys such as Home, End, Page Up and Page Down help you navigate through the report.  Wide reports can be shifted to the right with Tab and left with Shift-Tab.  An option to search the document is also provided.  This is a great tool for reviewing large accounting reports on your screen.

Most UNIX software applications allow you to print reports to screen.  They might use a self-developed viewer or a system command as ‘more’, ‘less’, ‘vi’ or ‘vim’.  All of these programs will display a file and have key sequences to move around, although the keys can be complicated.  FineLine Preview uses standard keys for navigating the report.

Print Manager

Ion Software offers a better print manager for your use than the default print manager provided by filePro.  Our on-screen displayer will show you the entire report without screen wrap and allows you to move forward and backward through the report.  Choose any printer setup in your network for your reports.  Another option is to generate the report as a PDF and send that report to anyone you want using the built-in email option.

Other typical benefits of our print manager are:
